Community Wellness Initiatives (CWI) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting holistic community well-being through protection, health, and climate change adaptation initiatives. The organization works to strengthen community resilience by supporting vulnerable populations, improving access to mental health and psychosocial services, and advocating for inclusive and sustainable development.
CWI believes that strong communities are built through dignity, equity, and access to essential services. Through collaboration with government institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners, CWI implements programs that empower individuals and communities to overcome social, environmental, and health-related challenges.
Our key areas of focus include providing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), promoting child protection and gender-based violence prevention, supporting public health initiatives including WASH and mental health awareness, and enhancing community capacity to adapt to climate change impacts.
By combining research, advocacy, community engagement, and partnership building, CWI strives to create lasting positive change and support communities in building a healthier, safer, and more resilient future.
CWI's founders established this organization to safeguard vulnerable populations, promote health, and tackle the challenges posed by climate change. We uphold the rights of all individuals to live with dignity and safety while emphasizing equitable access to healthcare. Recognizing the profound effects of climate change, especially on marginalized communities, we strive to create a more just and sustainable world through collaboration and accountability. Our commitment is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in health, safety, and dignity.
